The Department of Food and Nutrition prepares food for patients, staff and visitors. All in-house patients select food from the Room Service menu anytime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Patients with special needs will be assisted with menu selections.
Registered Dietitians and Diet Technicians, who are members of the American Dietetic Association, perform nutritional assessments on all patients. Dietitians working with physicians make recommendations for patients who require special nutritional care.
The cafeteria is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Waterfall Cafe, located in the Hospital's Main Lobby, is open Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
OUTPATIENT MEDICAL NUTRITION THERAPY
Outpatient appointments are available for many diagnosis including obesity, eating disorders, gastrointestinal diseases and hyperlipidemia. The Outpatient Nutrition Department counsels patients of all ages.

A healthcare provider may refer you to a Registered Dietitian or you may make an appointment on your own. Please request that your provider fax a referral to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Centralized Scheduling at (603) 740-2398.
