Our patient Pauline Johnson shares her experience with our Joint Replacement Center:
|
“There’s always a first time for everything,” said Pauline Johnson of East Rochester. Although she really wasn’t sure what to expect with her hip replacement. She discussed her options with Dr. Moby Parsons of Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. He suggested she have surgery at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital where she would benefit from “Joint Camp” a pre- and post-surgery program offered through the Hospital’s Joint Replacement Center.
“It was better than what I expected. Like having a first child, you just don’t know what will happen. Dr. Parsons was incredible,” Pauline said. “I cannot say enough about that man and the Joint Replacement Center was very thorough, really very good.”
Walking without a cane or a limp for the first time in a long time, and just weeks after surgery, Pauline attributed her successful recovery to a positive attitude, a personal connection to Jesus, her minister husband of 52 years, three daughters, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pauline explained, “I am a woman of great faith with great support from my family and a really great Doc.”
