Job Shadow
Are you curious about how another department works? Want to explore other job opportunities that exist at WDH? Well, look no further. New hires, in particular, are encouraged to embark on “field trips.” As goals are developed for each shadow experience through monitored objective learning, employees are encouraged to acquire better understanding and learn new skills.
Educational Loan Forgiveness
If you’re enrolled in specialty programs that support critical needs of WDH, you could get a loan of up to $2500/year toward your tuition or education expenses. You’re eligible after only 3 months at WDH and for each year of the loan. We require a 2 year commitment after graduation.
Tuition Reimbursement
No kidding! In addition to Educational Loan Forgiveness, full time employees of WDH are also eligible for $3000/year after their 1 year anniversary (pro-rated for regular part-time employees). Courses must be job-related and natural to your career progression at WDH.
On-site RN to BSN Program and MHA Programs
Get your degree from a local university without having to leave the WDH campus! We’ve coordinated with a local university to offer both on-site learning opportunities for those pursuing either a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an MHA (Masters in Health Administration) degree. These programs foster camaraderie through close participation in a cohort environment where colleagues support one another, making it a shared learning experience.
Nursing Continuing Education
Various nursing contact hour courses are available for employees at no cost! WDH Education/Organizational Development is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Hampshire Nurses’ Association Commission on Continuing Education, and accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital offers a Pharmacy Residency Program. Residents will gain experience beyond entry-level and will be able to practice in various areas of pharmacy.
