01/07 WDH Pharmacist named 2012 Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year in NH
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Pharmacist Tonya Carlton, Pharm.D., BCPS, CPE has been named the 2012 Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year in New Hampshire. The prestigious award was conferred on the Lee, New Hampshire pharmacist at the recent meeting of the New Hampshire Society of Health System Pharmacists.
Carlton has been employed at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover for eight years. She graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine with a BA Biology degree and in June 2004 graduated with a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year award is presented annually to a pharmacist in each state for individual excellence and outstanding contributions in state pharmacy association activities, community affairs and in professional practice. The award is sponsored by Pharmacists Mutual Companies, a nationally recognized leader in professional liability insurance and claims management for pharmacists and pharmacies.
